Great place to catch a charter boat on the Bay. Easy to access in and out via car. Plenty of available boats to charter the last time we went out there. The place is about 20-30 minutes further from DC area than Solomons but worth it.
Tammy is the owner and worth going to for all your boat needs. The boat mechanics Tommy, and Vick are worth every penny to bring your boat back to life with excellent maintenance.
Down home marina with a great staff
The folks at Point Lookout were amazing when we sailed in with a cracked muffler flange. We arrived on a Wednesday evening and tied up. By 8AM on Tuesday, Vick, the mechanic, was on his way down the dock to start work. They located a replacement muffler and we were on our way around noon. Incredible service. Tammy, the manager, was great as well.
Not at all how it was described in the "guide to cruising chesapeake bay." If your looking for a budget marina for the night then this is the place for you.
